VOLKLINGEN
Völklingen impose d’abord sa puissance graphique. Une géométrie implacable de poutrelles, de conduites et de passerelles découpe l’espace, tandis que la lumière et les ombres en révèlent l’étonnante complexité. Mais derrière cette monumentalité demeure une présence plus sourde. Les odeurs persistantes d’huile et de fonte semblent retenir la mémoire de l’activité sidérurgique. Elles rappellent surtout les milliers d’hommes qui, durant des décennies, ont travaillé ici, souvent dans des conditions difficiles. Entre rigueur des formes et mémoire ouvrière, le site conserve la trace sensible d’un monde disparu. Völklingen first strikes the eye with its sheer graphic power. An uncompromising geometry of girders, pipes and walkways carves up the space, while light and shadow reveal its astonishing complexity. Yet behind this monumentality, a quieter presence lingers. The persistent smells of oil and molten iron seem to hold the memory of the steelworks within them. Above all, they evoke the thousands of men who laboured here for decades, often in harsh conditions. Between the rigour of its forms and the memory of those who worked here, the site preserves the tangible trace of a vanished world.
SQUARE

Les mégalithes, érigés il y a des milliers d’années, restent des témoins mystérieux et fascinants de l’histoire humaine. Alignés, regroupés ou dressés en dolmens, ils invitent à la rêverie et stimulent l’imagination face à l’inconnu. Ce projet photographique cherche à capturer leur puissance et leur beauté intemporelle, privilégiant le noir et blanc pour révéler les textures des pierres et les jeux de lumière des ciels changeants. OFF SEASON plonge au cœur de la mélancolie des bords de mer en automne et en hiver, lorsque les plages, vidées de leur effervescence estivale, se muent en lieux silencieux et abandonnés. Ces paysages, marqués par l'empreinte du temps qui passe, deviennent des témoins d’une solitude saisissante, où chaque détail semble chargé de nostalgie. À travers le noir et blanc, j’ai voulu capter cette ambiance douce-amère, où les ombres profondes et les contrastes graphiques révèlent l’étrange beauté de ces lieux désertés. Ces scènes, empreintes d’une poésie silencieuse, invitent à une contemplation introspective, rappelant la fragilité et l’évanescence des moments de vie. OFF SEASON delves into the melancholy of seaside landscapes in autumn and winter, when the beaches, emptied of their summer bustle, transform into silent, abandoned spaces. These settings, marked by the passage of time, become striking witnesses to solitude, where every detail seems steeped in nostalgia. Through black and white photography, I sought to capture this bittersweet atmosphere, where deep shadows and graphic contrasts reveal the haunting beauty of these deserted places. Les jardins familiaux, autrefois appelés jardins ouvriers, sont nés à la fin du XIXe siècle pour répondre aux besoins des ouvriers urbains en quête de complément alimentaire, de détente et de lien social. Situés en périphérie des villes, ces espaces ne sont pas de simples parcelles de terre, mais des lieux de partage, de solidarité et de respect de la nature, des valeurs plus que jamais actuelles. Family gardens, once known as workers' gardens, originated in the late 19th century to meet the needs of urban workers seeking to supplement their food supply while enjoying a place for relaxation and social connection. Located on the outskirts of cities, these spaces are more than mere plots of land; they are places of sharing, solidarity, and respect for nature, values that resonate strongly in today’s world.
